It had been roughly a month since the Caped Crusader had first heard about what had happened in Hawkins, Indiana, via various means including the tabs he kept on the government. The alternate dimension, the creature that resided there, and the psychokinetic child known only as Eleven had all caught his attention. The creature and Eleven had vanished, but as he had learned during his time wearing the cowl, if there wasn’t a body, they weren’t dead. The fact that there had been rumours and whisperings of sightings since then confirmed that.
And so, here he was, in the woods near Hawkins, where he spent as much time as he could, searching for any trace of the girl. Glowing white lenses covered his eyes, augmenting his vision to pick up anything that might lead him to finding Eleven.
It was raining right now, a brief change from the snow that usually fell this time of year. The snow on the ground was rapidly changing to sleet, making the weather even more miserable. Batman increased the range of his search. If Eleven was indeed out here, he didn’t want her freezing to the point of hypothermia a second longer. Few things truly angered the Dark Knight anymore, but harm befalling children was one, and he wouldn’t stand for it.
Especially not when he could do something about it.

^{escaping the facility wasn’t an easy task even for a little girl with telekinetic powers. eleven’s plan wasn’t ELABORATE or planned to the ‘ T ‘ but simply a leap of faith. she hoped that her wit and whatever OUNCE of power she had left in her being would help her escape. she didn’t know where she would go or what would HAPPEN but she did know whatever was out there was much better than what was in HERE. crawling through the gutter allowed her to enter the forest. the nightfall snatched the AUTUMN colors leaving her in complete darkness. the rumble of thunder grew around her before she was greeted with a HEAVY fall of rain. most would run for cover, whereas eleven stood with her chin held to the night sky. rain drops touched her now reddened cheeks. she knew what a rain drop was but how it FELT was simply a new discovery.}

^{the cold sensation didn’t bother her. though it did cause the hair on the back of her neck to rise, the FEELING of nature distracted her. her palms turned upward to feel the water run through her fingertips. she breathed in the misty air, finally,– she was free. as much as she enjoyed the sudden change in weather the presence of someone else alluded her from it. a certain amount of FEAR grew inside the pit of her stomach. her feet were ready to run but her DAMN curiosity prevented her from doing it QUICK enough. she held her hands together waiting for the STRANGER to reveal themselves.}

SEMI-HIATUS UPDATE !! ^{hey everyone i hope you’re all having a great day !! i just wanted to let everyone know that i currently hate my brother :) so instead of moving to uni on sunday, i’m moving tomorrow. apparently traffic won’t be as bad ?? i don’t know, it makes zero sense. so that trumps my plan to post replies and starters tomorrow since i’ll be moving. i’ll have wifi but it’ll be limited ( +plus i need to unpack, etc ) so that means i won’t be back until AUGUST 5-6th. i know it’s super annoying and i apologize to EVERYONE who just followed me or is expecting something from me. i’m sure once i’m settled i will give this blog attention as well as every single one of my mutuals !! speaking of mutuals, if you’d like to keep up with me during this stupid thing just hit me up on skype over at elspookiest just give me a url and a name and we’re good !!}
